History of Kumar Sanu

Kumar Sanu is one of the most prolific singers ever to work in the Indian film industry. He was born on 23rd September, 1957 according to Indian passport. His actual birth is 20 October 1957. His real name Kedarnath bhattacharjee. His father name was Pashupati Bhattacharjee. He was a noticed his son's talent in young age. He holds the Guinness Book world record for recording the maximum number of songs in a day, his father trained him to sing classical music and play the tabla in very young age. Kumar Sanu graduated in commerce from Calcutta University and then started giving public performances at small shows and restaurants in Calcutta itself. His style of singing like legendary Kishore Kumar. 

Kumar Sanu moved to Bombay when Kalyanji - Anandji offered him to sing for the movie ‘Jadugar’. Thus, he started to work with the name of Kumar Sanu not Kedernath Bhattacharjee. His real achievement came in the year 1990 form the movie ‘Aashiqui’. All song is super hit but he proved himself in one song. With this opportunity, he won his first Film fare award as the Best Male Playback singer. Kumar sanu began his recording for many more films and achieved much success with more and more hits. Kumar sanu have sung songs in various movies such as: - Baazigar, Saajan, 1942: A Love Story, and Deewana.
